Claudette Silber is the Lead Sommelier of The Continental, working alongside Chef Sean Brock and Bar Director Jon Howard to cultivate an unmatched wine and beverage program.
Raised in Southern California, Silber embarked on her hospitality career in San Francisco, where she was inspired by the amazing restaurants and surrounding vineyards in Napa and Sonoma. Since then, Claudette has gained experience at noteworthy San Francisco restaurants, including her role as Assistant General Manager at Cockscomb as well as the General Manager and Wine Director of Gioia. Her knowledge and passion for wine deepened on a trip to Italy in September 2015, where she had the opportunity to work with Bibi Graetz during a harvest. Then, in September 2019, Silber worked as a Cellar Hand in Nashville at City Winery. Over the years, Silber has learned the value of old-fashioned hospitality, making guests feel warm and welcome while taking them on a journey with great food and wine.
